MachineValley's Jacketed Reactor is a temperature-controlled mixing vessel for jobs where heating or cooling accuracy actually matters mid-process. A double-wall jacket carries steam, hot water, or chilled water around the vessel, so the batch heats or cools evenly instead of getting hot spots. Capacity runs 500kg to 10,000kg, drive power from 11 kW to 300 kW — and it turns up wherever thermal control affects the end product: chemical, paint, pharma, food, cosmetics.

1000-Liter Jacketed Reactor
Our Jacketed Reactor Vessel1000 kg batch, 800 L usable volume reactor with a 15 kW drive and speed up to 1450 rpm. Double-wall jacket supports steam, oil, or chilled water for accurate temperature control in mid-scale batch processing.
2000-Liter Jacketed Reactor
Handles a 2000 kg batch with 1600 L usable volume, powered by a 30 kW drive at up to 1450 rpm. Jacketed for steam, hot water, or chilled water circulation, suited for scaling up production.
5000-Liter Jacketed Reactor
A 5000 kg batch reactor with 3900 L usable volume, running on a 55 kW drive up to 1450 rpm. Double-wall jacket enables fast, controlled heating and cooling for high-volume batches.
10000-Liter Jacketed Reactor
MachineValley's largest model: 10,000 kg batch, 7,800 L usable volume, 110 kW drive at up to 1000 rpm. Built for full-scale industrial production needing reliable, high-capacity thermal control.
Typically 3–6 bar(g), depending on model and media. Steam above 3 bar(g) usually requires ASME/IBR-compliant design and thicker jacket plate.
Standard jackets give a U-value of ~150–400 W/m²K. Half-coil designs push jacket-side velocity higher, raising U-values to ~300–600 W/m²K — faster heating/cooling for the same batch.
Low-viscosity work (under 500 cP) needs ~0.5–1 kW/1000L; high-viscosity/high-shear dispersion needs ~2–5 kW/1000L or more, based on impeller type and shear demand.
Control heating/cooling ramp rates, use expansion-tolerant jacket designs (dimple-pad or limpet coil for high delta-T), and specify full-penetration welds with stress relief for large temperature swings (>80°C).
